Food-grade silicone has become a popular material in baby products due to its superior safety and versatility. Unlike plastic or rubber, silicone is chemically inert, meaning it does not react with food or liquids. This quality ensures that no harmful substances, such as BPA or phthalates, leach into the items your baby uses daily. A summe up of advantagies on silicone material:
· Hypoallergenic: Silicone will not cause skin irritation.
· Hygienic
· Inert: silicone is inert and does not react to other chemicals, making it water resistant and resistant to oxidization, UV and ozone radiation. Because silicone is also resistant to cleaning agents, it offers ease of cleaning
· Thermal properties: Silicone materials maintain their structure throughout a wide range of temperatures between -40 and 200 degrees Celsius. They maintain flexibility at both low and high temperatures.
· Tasteless and odorless
· Soft touch and comfort: The soft and smooth texture of silicone make it ideal for baby feeding and soothing products, and breast-feeding products for mothers.
· Durable: Food-grade silicone has a low compression set, meaning it can significantly withstand deformation from compression and temperature changes. Even after stretching and pulling, it returns to its original shape without breaking or becoming brittle.
